My husband and I really enjoy mini road trip getaways throughout the year and ever since we got together 15 years ago, that’s what we have been doing non-stop. When we do our mini trips, it’s usually 3 nights at a time and it’s to random places (sometimes repeats!) and sometimes on an extremely spontaneous basis! This summer as usual, we are taking full advantage of the beautiful warm weather and going on mini road trips to states nearby or making trips to the beach. We also planned our annual camping trip which is already coming up this weekend!
One of the places we love to visit is Philadelphia. It is only 1 1/2 hours drive from our house and the city is just full of good food and friendly people! The vibe reminds me of New York City but with a more slower and laid-back pace which I absolutely love! This time, we spontaneously decided to make a weekend trip to Philadelphia the night before the actual trip and invited my youngest sister who was available to go since it’s her summer vacation from college, and also my mom who just retired from her business. I love how my family can just be spontaneous like us and just pick up and go! That’s just what we did! My husband and I booked a hotel at 12 AM and left to go on a mini trip to Philadelphia the next morning at 9 AM! Needless to say, we all had way too much fun and made many precious memories to cherish!
I brought only comfy clothes along with sneakers knowing Philly requires a lot of walking, but did you know you can still make your comfy sneaker outfit look chic? This particular outfit was worn on the second day there and it was perfect for what we did. We walked around a lot and attended many outdoor summer events, fairs and festivals that was going on. In this outfit, I wore a comfy breezy black and white striped muscle tank top and jean shorts with my favorite Adidas Stan Smith sneakers. I carried my mini white backpack and wore my mirrored sunnies. Doesn’t this comfortable outfit look equally stylish? It is possible to look chic and comfy!
What do you think my X Factor is in this outfit? What really makes this whole outfit pop with style?
Lena’s X Factor: Thin Black Choker
It was a close one between the thin black choker and the white rope bracelet, but the X Factor is the choker. I added the dainty thin black choker to this outfit to make the outfit stand out with some subtle edginess. The small touch really makes a big impact on the whole outfit and makes it pop with a chic effortless vibe to this comfy casual outfit.
